I genuinely haven’t been as excited for a thing as much as I am for being done with my final final tomorrow (I’ll still have to sweat out the grade just a bit, but I should be beyond fine — I did very poorly on the first exam in this class, and did much better on the second, and have everything I need to be fully prepared for this final in a way I didn’t for either of the first two, and I can do worse than I did on the first exam and still pass) since Christmas as a kid.
Those who have known me for a while know that there have been a lot of things I have been excited about between childhood and now — objectively exciting things — but being free of the academy is seriously the carrot I am most excited to chomp on. Maybe that’s weird. I don’t care.
