Veronica Mars Appreciation Life
because we were reading a poem about a dad who was mad all the time but got up early on Sundays to get a fire going and I started thinking about the third episode of Veronica mars, when that kid thinks his dad is dead but actually he was a woman and began presenting that way and the kid is so mad at her for being a “freak” and he yells and freaks out, and he and Veronica are driving back to Neptune in silence, and he’s brooding, and she says (paraphrasing but not by much) “three hours,” beat, “that’s how long she drove every Saturday to see you for five minutes,” beat — “I would give anything to feel like my mother cared that much,” and I’m starting to cry again just typing that up, does this ever happen to anyone else
