You’re not the first person to say that. In fact, for all of the love dude has been getting it seems like there are still quite a few people who have been vocally resistant to jumping in with his catalog. I don’t know if this is because of his occasional cheesiness (which is wholly negated by his honesty and rapping ability) or just because he gets culturally lumped in with a lot of completely mediocre 2 Dope Boyz expensive sneaker rappers. Whatever the case he’s very good at what he does and I think that anyone who enjoys rap music should give Section 80 a serious listen.

There are probably a lot of people who think Kendrick Lamar is boring in the way Talib Kweli is boring. He is not.
